Description of Project:

Completed in 2017, Suncrest Elementary School was areplacement elementary school housing grades PK-5 located near Morgantown, WV.

This building design was organized around a centrally featured STREAM Lab (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math) which included a large flexible teaching space and two adjacent classroom spaces delineated by operable glass partitions. One of these spaces provides specialized learning equipment centered around science curriculum. The second is a more flexible use space with a direct connection to the adjacent art lab.

Connecting the STREAM lab to the dining room is an ‘Artwalk’, configured with lighting and display systems to permit changeable displays of student work.

The building exterior was constructed utilizing Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF).
