Description of Project:
The new Peterstown PK-8 consolidated the existing Peterstown Elementary and Peterstown Middle schools into one facility.
The building layout provides separate academic wings for the elementary school and middle school while sharing common areas such as the administrative offices, clinic and dining room.
The elementary school side is divided into two separate wings that will contain grades PK-1st and grades 2nd-4th. At the entrance ofthe elementary school wing an elevated music classroom that will serve as a performing platform that opens to the dining room. A physical educational classroom will be adjacent to the dining room.
The middle school wing will contain grades 5th-8th which includes a science lab and art classroom. At the entrance of the middle school wing is a STEM lab that will be shared by the full school. The STEM lab is on full display to the commons / dining room for all students to view the the creative projects. A full size middle school gymnasium that will be located near the dining room and will have bleacher seating for the schools full enrollment.
